I have read a lot of forums and articles but I never got a clear answer. I downloaded the driver from Microsoft and have been trying for about an hour now with no luck. I have just been using the xbox play and charge.Can you connect a xbox controller with just the play and charge?
The Play and Charge cable only charges the battery pack in the controller. It does not transmit any game information.
To use a wireless controller with Windows you have to use the Microsoft Gaming Receiver for Windows.
