Can i ship back my xbox 360 if it only has 2 red rings?

Well i been thinking i checked xbox 360 forums saying that you can ship back your xbox 360 if it has the 3 red rings because its a sign of hardrive fail. but i dont have 3 red rings i have 2 only which is overheating. I can turn on my xbox it would start perfectly but after 5 mins or so the 2 red rings show up. I first had the 3 red rings but i did a towel trick that was really hopeful i heard. and it worked for like a few months or weeks. But now the 2 red rings is showing up. I'm lost someone help me ;)Can i ship back my xbox 360 if it only has 2 red rings?

If your xbox is under warranty then you can, however because you towel wrapped it, that voids the warranty.

Microsoft is good with tech support and giving returns, especially if it's the red ring of death.
