so im doing the rrod mod from here http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/xbox-360鈥?/a> now by accident i got 23 instead of the 24 washers...will it still work or should i take the 10min drive to get the last waser..?Xbox 360 red ring of death (funny question, yet serious)?
you don't really need the washers that go under the motherboard. you only need the 2 that go on top, these 2 are the ones that create a tiny gap between the heatsyncs and the cpu/gpu



this makes it so when the cpu/gpu expand due to heat they are able to touch the heatsync and transfer heat without being deformed.



the washers that go under the motherboard are just used if the screw is too long and you need to eliminate some of the extra length.



plus if you use washers under the mobo you should be using lock washers anyways..

well if your trying to mod it then get everything you need otherweise something may go wrong. even though modding it may not work either but knok yourself out
